Lodi police destroy bombs in store parking lot

Lodi police discovered two explosive devices in a vehicle in a Marshalls store parking lot Monday and destroyed them by setting off a small explosion inside the SUV.

Police searched the vehicle after the driver, Olga Myshnova, 23, was detained for allegedly shoplifting from a Walmart and then Marshalls on West Kettleman Lane, according to the Lodi Police Department. Police then discovered the devices, which resembled pipe bombs.

The police set off the explosion in the car at about 5 p.m. Monday. Myshnova was booked for two counts of shoplifting and possession of destructive devices.
