CHP seeks witnesses to semi-truck crash on I-5 in Lathrop

The California Highway Patrol is seeking witnesses to a crash of a semi-truck and trailer that occurred June 10 on Interstate 5 in Lathrop.

The single-vehicle crash occurred about 11:22 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-5 at Louise Avenue. When officers arrived, they determined that the driver had suffered a single gunshot wound, according to a CHP news release.

CHP investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has information regarding any suspicious activity on southbound I-5 from Sacramento County through San Joaquin County.

Potential witnesses are asked to call the CHP’s Stockton Dispatch Center at 209-943-8600.

CHP officials said no further information regarding the investigation is available at this time.
