A Cameron Park man arrested in May after El Dorado County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of domestic violence has pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of malicious mischief, according to the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office.
The DA’s Office dismissed a felony charge against 25-year-old Casey James Schumacher of inflicting corporal injury.
Schumacher was arrested May 10 following an incident at a house in the 3000 block of Montclair Road in Cameron Park. Sheriff’s officials reported that Shumacher had fled the residence where the alleged domestic violence was reported. He allegedly broke into a neighbor’s house, where he was confronted by the armed homeowner who held him at gunpoint until deputies arrives.
