Man wearing cowboy hat sought in Roseville bank robbery

Roseville police are asking the community's help in identifying a man sought in a Saturday robbery of a Wells Fargo Bank.

The man entered the bank in the 700 block of Pleasant Grove Boulevard about 5:30 p.m. and gave the teller a note demanding money. Although he mentioned a gun, no weapons were seen, according to a Police Department news release. The man took an undisclosed amount of money and left, running north through the parking lot. Police said no vehicle associated with the man was seen.

No injuries were reported.

The man was described as white, in his early 20s, 5 feet, 4 inches tall, with a slender build. He wore a light tan cowboy hat, sunglasses, a red and white plaid shirt, and blue jeans.

Anyone who recognizes the man or has other information pertaining to the robbery is asked to call Detective Fernandez at 916-774-5024.
