A man who had an arm in a sling and bandages on his face is sought in the Friday afternoon robbery of an El Dorado Hills bank.

The robbery at the Chase Bank, 2215 Francisco Drive, was reported about 2:59 p.m. The man reportedly claimed to have a gun, although it has not been verified that he had one, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release. The man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash before deputies arrived. No injuries were reported.

The man was described as white, with a large build, wearing bandages and sunglasses. He also had his left arm in a sling.

The Sheriff’s Office released surveillance photos of the man and asks the public’s help in identifying him.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call Detective Simon Brown at 530-642-4707. Possible sightings of the man should be reported by dialing 911 and referring to case EG16-5797. Because the man claimed to have a gun, sheriff’s officials said he should be considered armed and dangerous.
