One person was taken to the hospital Saturday night after being shot in the Del Paso Heights area of Sacramento, according to Sgt. Bryce Heinlein, a spokesman for the Sacramento Police Department.
Police received a ShotSpotter activation about 7:45 p.m. near the 600 block of Morrison Avenue, Heinlein said. Reports showed that officers at the scene found a victim who was shot in the torso, but who did not seem to be in critical condition, he said.
No information about a potential suspect or whether anyone was in custody in connection to the shooting was readily available.
