The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in identifying a man sought in connection with the Jan. 13 robbery of the Cash into Check business in Cameron Park.
Sheriff’s officials on Tuesday released surveillance photos of the man who allegedly entered the business and passed a grocery bag to the teller while demanding money and brandishing a black semiautomatic handgun. The suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of money and walked away heading north, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
The man was described as white, with freckles on his cheeks, approximately 20 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with an average build and short strawberry blond or reddish hair. He was last seen wearing a black baseball-style hat, a black jacket and dark-colored pants.
Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office at (530) 621-5655, or Detective J. Densmore at (530) 642-4718. Tips may be submitted anonymously via the sheriff’s website.
