Fair Oaks woman found safe in Sacramento

A woman who was reported missing from her Fair Oaks home has been found safe in Sacramento.

Sacramento County sheriff’s officials reported that Valerie Long, 56, was located early Wednesday afternoon and will be reunited with her family.

Long had last been seen about 9 p.m. Monday when she left her family’s residence in Fair Oaks to go to the store. She was considered at risk because she is being treated for a medical condition and may become disoriented, according to a Sheriff’s Department news release.
