A two-alarm grass fire in the Arden Arcade area damaged seven outbuildings and charred the exterior of an apartment building Friday night.

Firefighters responded to a report about 9 p.m. of structures on fire with more threatened, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.

The California Highway Patrol’s incident website reported that the fire resulted in a traffic jam, with people trying to get out of the area as others were trying to get in.
