Sacramento Police are looking for the person who shot and killed a young man in the Parkway area just after 2 a.m. Sunday.
Gunshots were reported near the 7500 block of Wainscott Way about 2:19 a.m., but officers who responded to the scene could not immediately find the shooter or any apparent victims in the area, police said.
Half an hour later, police received word that a young man in his late teens arrived at an area hospital with a gunshot wound. The teen was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after he arrived.
Detectives, who began canvassing the area in the early hours of the morning, said they believe the shooting was targetted and that the victim knew his attacker.
