A Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputy suffered what appears to be a sprained ankle Monday during a scuffle with a man at an Arden Arcade bowling alley.
An employee of Country Club Lanes, 2600 Watt Avenue, told sheriff’s dispatchers about 4:30 a.m. Monday that someone was breaking into the liquor cabinet in the bowling alley’s Sky Room, a banquet room with a bar and dance floor.
When deputies arrived, they spoke with the man and he began to fight, according to a sheriff’s department spokeswoman. A deputy suffered an ankle injury and was transported to the hospital for X-rays.
It appears that the ankle was sprained. The suspected liquor thief was arrested but not on a theft charge.
