A house that caught fire Monday morning in South Sacramento is being investigated as a possible marijuana grow house, according to the Sacramento Fire Department.
Arson investigators and law enforcement officers were called to the scene shortly after firefighters had extinguished the flames at 4360 Perry Avenue about 10 a.m.
It was not immediately clear what started the fire, which tore through the first level of a house up to the second story, fire officials said.
More than 20 firefighters worked to put out the flames. No one was injured.
