Davis police are asking the public’s help in locating a teenage girl who reportedly ran away from home a week ago.

Cinthia Heredia, 15, who was last seen Feb. 2, notified her family that she was in the Los Angeles area, but that could not be verified, a police department news release states.

Police said Heredia has ties to Fairfield and likely is in the surrounding area, although she called her mother Monday, saying that she was OK and was in Los Angeles.

Heredia is described as Hispanic, 5 feet, 3 inches tall, weighing 110 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call the Davis Police Department at (530) 747-5425.

Call The Bee’s Cathy Locke, (916) 321-5287.
