A Folsom woman died when the sport-utility vehicle she was driving flipped after some high-speed driving on Highway 50, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Marisa R. Gibson, 23, of Folsom was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash after suffering traumatic head injury.
The CHP said that Gibson was traveling eastbound, west of Mayhew Road, at about 11 p.m. Sunday at a high rate of speed, using various lanes to pass other vehicles. At one point she lost control of her SUV and struck the median barrier.
The SUV then rolled more than once, ejecting Gibson from the vehicle.
