Authorities have identified the victim’s boyfriend as the prime suspect in the November homicide of an Elk Grove mother of two.
Elk Grove police officials are asking for the public’s help in locating Moses Valdez, 38, who is a validated gang member with an extensive criminal history and the prime suspect in the murder of Marissa Pineda de Almanza, 37. De Almanza was discovered in her Franklin Boulevard apartment by her estranged husband Nov. 5.
At the time, authorities said there were obvious signs of trauma but didn’t release the manner of death. Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for Valdez.
