Folsom teachers, district reach tentative pact
Teachers in the Folsom Cordova School District will receive a raise and more district contribution toward health care premiums as part of a tentative labor agreement reached this week.
The agreement between the district and the Folsom Cordova Education Association calls for a 5 percent salary increase retroactive to last July and an additional 2.5 percent increase for the 2015-16 school year.
The district and FECA has been in negotiations since August. The salary increase is the first between the teachers and the district since the 2007-08 school year.
The district board and FECA members, which include teachers, counselors, nurses and special education support, must still ratify the tentative agreement.
