Where can Sacramento-area students get a free meal this summer?

Sacramento-area school districts have begun providing free meals to all students across the region for the summer.

Millions of meals had already been distributed to students when schools were physically closed during the coronavirus pandemic and the service is now resuming.

Families may also be eligible for $365 on a P-EBT card to buy groceries in addition to getting the free meals. Families will need to complete an online application before June 30.

Here are some of the area’s schools districts providing free meals. Families may visit school district websites to find specific schools where meals are provided.

Sacramento City Unified

Meals will be distributed Monday through Thursday, 8 to 10:30 a.m., as long as supplies last.

Meals are limited to children 18 years old or under, and eight children per vehicle.
