Schools, Rancho Cordova, hold anti-bullying program

The city of Rancho Cordova and Folsom Cordova Unified School District will hold a “Say No to Bullying” event from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mitchell Middle School, 2100 Zinfandel Dr.

The event will include a showing of the film “BULLY” and a question-and-answer session with school officials. Organizers say the film, which will have English and Spanish subtitles, focuses on emotionally intense topics and may be unsuitable for young children.

The presentation is part of National Bullying Prevention Month in partnership with the U.S. Conference of Mayors and The BULLY Project. It seeks to increase bullying sensitivity and foster safe school climate.
