Former UC Davis chancellor memorialized

Family, friends and colleagues attended a memorial service celebrating the life of Chancellor Emeritus Larry N. Vanderhoef at the Robert and Margerit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts at UC Davis on Wednesday in Davis.

Vanderhoef died Oct. 15 at the age of 74.

Speakers who contributed to the celebration of life were Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Ralph Hexter, UC Davis Chancellor Linda P.B. Katehi, California Community Colleges Chancellor Brice Harris, Provost/Executive Vice Chancellor to Chancellor Vanderhoef Robert Grey, Provost/Executive Vice Chancellor to Chancellor Vanderhoef Virginia Henshaw, Distinguished Professor Emeritus Zuhair Munir, student body president during Chancellor Vanderhoef’s tenure Seth Merewitz, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Campus Planning and Community Resources Robert Segar and Vanderhoef’s wife Rosalie.
