Sacramento City Unified holds job fair for classified workers

Sacramento City Unified, among the largest school districts in the region, is inviting prospective bus drivers, food service assistants, occupational therapists and more to attend a three-hour job fair for classified employee hiring Saturday morning.

Openings include those for instructional aides for special education and child development; bilingual aides for students who speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish and Hmong dialects; library media technical assistants; and custodians.

Candidates are urged to bring their résumés and be prepared for interviews. The district pays benefits, including paid holidays, vacation and sick leave for eligible positions.

Both part-time and full-time positions for qualified candidates are available. The school serves about 43,000 students at 76 school sites.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon in the Serna Center, 5735 47th Ave., Sacramento.
