Meeting Monday to discuss status of El Dorado County schools chief
The El Dorado County Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 9 a.m. Monday to discuss the status of county Superintendent Jeremy Meyers.
Meyers was arrested Nov. 5 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after he crashed his Dodge Ram into a utility box and registered a blood alcohol content of 0.19 percent. It was his second DUI arrest in five months.
During a special meeting Nov. 7, colleagues and community members called for Meyers to step away from his post and seek help.
Monday’s meeting will be held in Conference Room B-2 at the El Dorado County Office of Education, 6767 Green Valley Road, Placerville.
