Attention California health care workers: These companies will give you a sweet deal
Companies have been showing extra gratitude to health care workers for nearly two years now, as nurses, doctors and other medical personnel work tirelessly to battle at the front of the COVID-19 pandemic.
And medical professionals in California have been hard at work. Right now, there is at a substantial level of community transmission after previously becoming the only state in the country to fall to a moderate level.
Here is a list of national businesses that are still offering deals for medical professionals:
Nike
Nike offers a 10% discount for eligible medical workers and first responders. You can receive the discount once every seven days, but you’ll need a new promo code. Each time, you’ll need to verify your status by completing a form and uploading documentation on the website.
Who is eligible?
“Most types of medical professionals and first responders are eligible—including doctors, nurses, technicians, medical researchers, EMTs, firefighters, law enforcement, etc,” the website said.
AT&T
At AT&T, nurses, physicians, physician assistants and their families can purchase an unlimited plan starting at less than $27 per month per line, if you get four lines.
Bose
Nurses and hospital employees can get a special discount on headphones, speakers and earbuds at Bose. You’ll need to spend $199 or more, and verification is required.
Levi’s
Levi’s has a 25% discount for medical professionals and first responders. This applies to all apparel items, from their jeans and outerwear to lounge wear.
Outback Steakhouse
Outback Steakhouse has a 10% Heroes Discount. Nurses, doctors, medical staff and first responders will get 10% off of their entire check.
You’ll need to show your medical ID at checkout. The discount cannot be applied online, but you can put in a phone order and show your ID when you pick up your food and pay at the restaurant.
Under Armour
First responders and health care workers can get their active wear at Under Armour for 20% off. The website notes that discounts may be greater during promotional seasons.
Eligible health care workers include police, fire fighters, nurses, doctors and EMTs.
Blue Apron
You can get $110 off your first four home cooking kits at Blue Apron, a recipe and ingredient meal delivery service. The first box will also ship free. You’ll need to verify your status as a nurse, doctor or hospital employee via ID.me.
Purple
Healthcare personnel can get 10% off their order of mattresses, pillows and other bedding items at Purple.
These discounts require verification either online or with medical ID. Be sure to check your local stores or their websites for updates.
