Sacramento Republic FC match at Hughes Stadium sold out
Sacramento Republic FC has sold out its Saturday friendly game at Hughes Stadium against the New York Cosmos.
Hughes Stadium, on the campus of Sacramento City College, holds 20,231 for soccer matches. Republic FC sold out the stadium for three of the four matches it played there last spring, vaulting the team onto the national spotlight and earning instant attention from Major League Soccer.
Food trucks, a beer garden and live music will be part of the pre-match activities. Regional Transit will add extra light rail trains after the match and Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates (SABA) will operate a free bike valet near the west parking lot on campus.
Parking for the match is $10 and lots open at 5 p.m.
