Two politicians who hope to become Sacramento’s next mayor square off at 6 p.m. Wednesday for a moderated discussion of the city’s issues, an event streaming live courtesy of Access Sacramento.

The “Sacramento Mayoral Candidate Forum” features Sacramento City Councilmember Angelique Ashby and former California state Sen. Darrell Steinberg. Both announced their candidacies in October.

The event, sponsored by the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce, is being broadcast from the Crocker Art Museum’s Setzer Foundation Auditorium in front of Metro Chamber members and partner organizations.

Kevin Riggs, a former political reporter for KCRA and current public affairs professional, will moderate the forum.
