We are no longer live. Click on the video above to watch a replay of the Q&A.
The Sacramento Bee will bring together planning experts, elected officials and community leaders to discuss the region’s future at a live event Dec. 6.
The event, part of The Bee’s ongoing coverage of the region’s future housing, transportation and climate priorities, can be viewed live at sacbee.com, on our YouTube page (bit.ly/Sac_future_youtube) and on The Bee’s Facebook (bit.ly/Sac_future_facebook).
The panel will be moderated by Sacramento Bee journalist Ryan Lillis. He will be joined by James Corless, the executive director of the Sacramento Area Council of Governments; Elk Grove Councilmember Darren Suen; Kiara Reed, executive director of Civic Thread (formerly known as WalkSacramento); and Cathy Rodriguez, president and CEO of the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
The event and The Bee’s coverage of important regional issues is occurring as SACOG, the region’s lead planning agency, is developing a blueprint for the area’s transportation, climate, housing, economic and equity priorities for the next 25 years.
At the conclusion of the panel discussion, Bee Equity Lab Editor Sabrina Bodon will announce three winners of $5,000 grants to individuals and groups who submitted applications for climate solution projects.
