Diesel spill after crash closes part of south Sacramento intersection
A south Sacramento intersection is partially closed due to a crash that spilled diesel fuel.
The crash occurred about 9:20 a.m. Wednesday at South Watt Avenue and Elder Creek Road. The Sacramento Fire Department tweeted at 10:15 a.m. that crews were removing the fuel from the road.
Northbound South Watt Avenue at Elder Creek Road was temporarily closed for the clean-up. Less than 40 gallons were reported spilled.
Initial reports indicated that a sport-utility vehicle and a truck were involved in the collision. No estimate was available on when lanes would reopen.
