Downed oak tree blocks Highway 49 near Coloma

Highway 49 was closed two miles south of Coloma in El Dorado County due to a downed oak tree.

The California Highway Patrol reported shortly before 8:30 p.m. that the tree fell through power lines blocking the roadway near Serpentine Road.

The California Department of Transportation had no estimated time for reopening.
