Crews reopened a 5-mile stretch of Highway 128 running through Yolo, Solano and Napa counties on Monday, according to a state Department of Transportation news release.

Storm damage between Marklee Cove and Pleasant Valley Road closed the roadway to travelers last week as crews made emergency repairs. A rock slide was reported in Solano County while storm waters uprooted a giant tree, undermining the road in Yolo County.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution while traveling through the area. Caltrans said it would closely monitor the hillsides and warned that it may need to close one of two lanes as the storm season continues.
