Full southbound closure planned on portion of Highway 160 beginning Thursday night
Attention, Highway 160 motorists: The state Department of Transportation has scheduled a nighttime full closure Thursday for the southbound direction of the roadway near Arden Way in North Sacramento.
The closure will be from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. and again on Friday, if needed. Advanced signage will be set up for detours and posted work zone speeds will be enforced by the California Highway Patrol.
Crews are scheduled for concrete grinding and roadway slab replacement work, according to Caltrans. Officials urge motorists to seek an alternate route or expect additional travel times and delays due to changing lane restrictions and ramp closures.
The work is part of the ongoing $6.9 million project to repair and resurface damaged pavement on Highway 160 and the Capital City Freeway.
