Paving work to affect Sunrise Boulevard traffic Thursday in Citrus Heights
The city of Citrus Heights advises motorists on Sunrise Boulevard to expect delays Thursday due to roadwork at the Sungarden Drive intersection north of Greenback Lane.
A new signalized intersection is being constructed to provide safer access for pedestrians, bicyclists ans motor vehicles to and from adjacent neighborhoods and retail and business centers, according to a city news release. The contractor, Teichert Construction, will be preparing for paving operations from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday.
The contractor will begin setting up traffic control at 7 a.m. and will be shifting lanes throughout the day. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
