New interchange opens in South Sacramento
A new freeway interchange opened Monday morning in South Sacramento to serve residents and commercial properties.
The new interchange at Cosumnes River Boulevard and Interstate 5 will allow motorists to enter and exit the freeway. However, the 3.5-mile extension of Cosumnes River Boulevard from Freeport Boulevard to Franklin Boulevard to the east remains under construction.
The new interchange, located a mile south of Meadowview Road, is a partnership between the City of Sacramento and the developers who plan a 1.3-million-square-feet regional shopping center at Delta Shores.
