Folsom to replace median grass with water-wise plants
Lane closures are scheduled in Folsom as the city replaces grass on medians with drought-tolerant plants.
Crews will remove the grass, retrofit irrigation systems and install less thirsty landscaping, including drought-tolerant shrubs and bark ground cover on more than 62,000-square-feet of median space.
The work on the 12 large medians is scheduled to occur on weekdays from 7 a.m to 2 p.m. Lane closure and work activity schedule:
▪ Iron Point Road between Folsom Boulevard and Black Diamond Drive, through June 16
▪ Natoma Station Drive between Blue Ravine Road and Turn Pike Drive, June 17 to June 24
▪ Iron Point Road between Prairie City Road and Grover Road, June 25 to July 3
