Update: Lanes reopen on I-80 after crash during morning rush hour in North Sacramento

A collision involving six vehicles blocked two lanes of Interstate 80 in north Sacramento, stalling commuter traffic during rush hour Monday morning.

The lanes were back open by about 9 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported on eastbound I-80 near the Norwood Avenue exit just before 8 a.m. and was continuing to block the middle two lanes as of 8:20 a.m., according to the CHP incident log, which updated its original description of a four-vehicle crash to a six-vehicle collision.

No injuries were reported.
