What’s the best Sacramento-area gas station? Bee readers had a clear favorite

After several days of Bee readers voting on which Sacramento-area gas station deserves the top spot — the results are in.

We asked readers “What Sacramento-area gas station do you like to fill up at?” And after more than 500 responses, it was made clear that there’s a majority favorite.

Here are the top picks:

COSTCO GAS STATION | No. 1

Locations: Sacramento, Elk Grove, Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights, Roseville, more.

Ranking No. 1 on the “What’s the best Sacramento-area gas station poll,” Costco Gas Stations offer regular, premium and at some stations diesel fuel, according to their website. All of the discount warehouse’s stations are members-only.

It gained 264 votes, or 48%.

ARCO | No. 2

Taking the second spot on the poll, Arco offers rebates and prepaid gas cards.

Locations: Sacramento, Carmichael, Elk Grove, Orangevale, more.

It gained 73 votes, or 13%

CHEVRON | No.3

Making up 10% of the votes, Chevron offers customers fuel credit, grocery incentives and roadside services, according to their website.

It gained 53 votes or 10%

SAMS’S CLUB GAS STATION | No. 4

Taking the fourth spot and the only other discount warehouse brand on the list, most Sam’s Club Gas Stations are member’s only. But unlike Costco, there are a few locations open to the public, according to their website.

Shell gas stations offer 24 hour fuel service, convenience stores and air and ATM services, according to their website.
