This gas station will briefly cut its prices 40 cents a gallon. Are there Sacramento deals?
Circle K will drop its fuel prices by up to 40 cents per gallon just in time for Labor Day weekend road trips.
The Canadian-based convenience store and gas station chain’s “Circle K Fuel Celebration Day” will run 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday across the United States. Sacramentans who want to take advantage of the deal have a couple of gas stations to choose from.
The only Circle K gas station in the city of Sacramento is at 5555 Hemlock St., according to its website. The two other Sacramento County locations include one in Carmichael (5809 Manzanita Ave.) and another in Citrus Heights (7796 Sunrise Blvd.). Those who find themselves outside of Sacramento by the time the promotion starts at 4 p.m. can still take advantage of the deal in Davis (1930 Lake Blvd.), Yuba City (1263 Franklin Ave.) and Modesto (1640 N Carpenter Road.).
If you’re wondering which pump to choose, here are the most recent gas prices at each Circe K station in the Sacramento area, logged by fuel pricing website Gas Buddy, last updated Thursday morning:

Even before the Circle K’s gas promotion starts, its prices are cheaper than both California and Sacramento’s fuel price averages.
The current average price for a gallon of regular gas in California is $5.25 per gallon, according to the American Automobile Association. Sacramentans are paying a little less than the state average at $5.14 per gallon.
That means, Sacramento residents who take advantage of the gas sale could pay between $4.43 and $4.63 per gallon of regular gas if Circle K’s prices don’t fluctuate by the time the fuel promotion starts at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
Still, it’s not the cheapest gas Sacramento residents can find.
If you don’t mind the drive or paying in cash, the cheapest fuel currently in the Sacramento area can be found at Shell gas station on 9871 Greenback Lane at $4.29 per gallon, according to Gas Buddy. After that the 7-Eleven in Orangevale at 9396 Greenback Lane is charging $4.49 per gallon.
