Some SacRT stations won’t be taking passengers during construction. Here’s where and when
SacRT will be interrupting service in some areas during May and June to allow for construction.
Gold Line stations are getting work done to meet height requirements of new low-floor light rail trains, according to the department’s announcement this week.
While the trains will continue to run during construction, the department stated that travelers won’t be able to get on or off where work is underway.
What stations are affected and when?
The following weeks and locations are when and where service will be disrupted, according to SacRT:
- Tuesday, May 30 through Friday, June 2 (No service at Seventh & Capitol Station): Gold Line — No stop at Seventh & Capitol Station due to station construction
- Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4 (Service will resume by 5 p.m. on Sunday): Gold Line — Bus bridge between 13th Street and Sacramento Valley stations. Blue Line — Bus bridge between 13th Street and Cathedral Square (10th & K and 11th & K)
- Saturday, June 17: Gold Line — Bus bridge between 13th Street and Sacramento Valley stations. Blue Line — Bus bridge between 13th Street and Globe stations
- Sunday, June 18 through Friday, June 23 (No service at Seventh & I Station): Gold Line — No stop at Seventh & I Station due to station construction
- Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25: Gold Line — Bus bridge between 13th Street and Sacramento Valley stations. Blue Line — Bus bridge between 13th Street and Cathedral Square (10th & K and 11th & K)
