Sacramento Regional Transit will implement schedule changes to nine bus routes starting Monday to improve schedule reliability for riders traveling to destinations such as Sacramento International Airport, Citrus Heights and south Sacramento.

RT announced in a news release that schedules will change for the Airport Express and routes 21, 26, 84, 86, 105, 134, 205 and 206. New schedules are online at sacrt.com/servicechanges and available by phone at 916-321-BUSS.

Route 21 will add up to eight minutes to morning and evening trips to better align with light rail and bus transfers. The route begins in north Citrus Heights and follows Sunrise Boulevard to the Mather Field/Mills light rail station.

Route 26 will add up to eight minutes to some trips, adjusting both arrival and departure times. The route travels from the light rail station at 65th Street and University Avenue through Arden Arcade and into North Highlands via Fulton and Watt avenues.

Route 84 will add up to six minutes to some trips. The route runs from the light rail station on Folsom Boulevard at Watt Avenue into North Highlands, primarily along Watt Avenue.

Route 86 will have two late-night trips depart two minutes earlier. This route connects the Marconi Avenue light rail station near Haggin Oaks Golf Complex to Discovery Park.

Route 105 will extend some morning and afternoon trips by up to nine minutes. The route connects Florin High School to the Meadowview light rail station. RT said the adjusted schedule continues to serve student travel needs.

Route 134 will add four minutes to some evening trips near Sacramento State. The route links the campus to downtown stops near the Capitol.

Route 142, the Airport Express that departs from downtown Sacramento, will adjust afternoon departure times three minutes earlier. Midday and evening trips will be extended by three minutes.

Routes 205 and 206 will add three minutes to certain trips to account for traffic on Land Park Drive. Route 205 begins at Stockton Boulevard and Fruitridge Road, heading north into Land Park. Route 206 starts at Stockton Boulevard and Broadway, travels south to Sutterville Road, and proceeds through Land Park.
