Ramp connecting two Yolo County freeways will close for two nights this week

Road work

Caltrans will close the southbound Highway 113 connector to eastbound Interstate 80 overnight on Wednesday and Thursday, June 24-25, the agency announced.

The ramp will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. both nights. The closure will affect drivers traveling from Woodland toward Davis and West Sacramento.

To get around the closure, Caltrans District 3 advises motorists to merge onto westbound Interstate 80, take the Kidwell Road exit, turn left onto Kidwell Road and then turn left onto the eastbound Interstate 80 on-ramp.

The overnight closure will allow crews to complete pavement work and provide a safe work area for construction equipment, Caltrans officials said.

The work is part of the $280 million Yolo 80 Managed Lanes Project. The project received funding from California’s Senate Bill 1, the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 known as the gas tax, and the Federal Highway Administration.
