Falling gasoline prices over the past month have made various Northern California jurisdictions – including Sacramento – islands of sub-$3-a-gallon fuel.
The average price of unleaded regular in Sacramento on Tuesday was $2.92 a gallon, according to AAA’s monthly gas price survey. That was down 30 cents from the Aug. 11 survey.
In Marysville, where the cheapest gas in Northern California could be had, the average at-the-pump price was $2.74 a gallon, down 35 cents from last month.
Golden State motorists have benefited from low crude oil prices and a stable supply of fuel.
