It isn’t common to hear an animal being called a hero.
It’s even less common to hear a house cat being called a hero.
But that’s exactly what happened to Binky, a pet cat in Indiana who stopped a potential burglary on Saturday morning, according to a report from NBC-affiliate KOAA.
The burglar arrived around midnight. Binky attacked the burglar twice: Once when the burglar tried to enter through the front door, and another time when the burglar tried to enter through the window, according to KOAA.

According to Binky’s owner Cynthia Kootz, the cat doesn’t have any claws. But when police arrived at the scene to arrest the burglar, they had to call paramedics to treat his injuries.
The owner said she olds onto Binky when company comes by. However, Koontz told KOAA that Binky loves children and enjoys playing with relatives he knows.
