If you’re a fan of Ikea furniture and online shopping, you could be in luck.
Ikea plans to test sell its products on websites other than its own as soon as 2018. That means customers could be able to buy Ikea’s furniture and other home products through online retailers like Amazon and Chinese rival Alibaba, according to a report from Reuters.
Amazon has said in the past that it plans to venture into the furniture market, according to the Wall Street Journal.
“On digital platforms, we only sell our products through our own website, and there we also see that the competitive landscape is changing,” Inter Ikea Group Chief Executive Torbjorn Loof told Reuters.

Loof did not say what companies he had in mind to sell through and said that no contracts have been signed. The Swedish firm has never sold its goods through a company other than its own, according to Reuters.
The news comes after Ikea reported an online revenue of 1.4 billion euros, a 30 percent increase from August 2015 to August 2016, according to fortune.com.
