Driver crashes into a swimming pool, and Texas police say they found a gun and drugs

A driver in Texas crashed through a fence and ended up in a swimming pool, police say. Then he was arrested.

Balch Springs Police got a 911 call on Wednesday that a car was in a swimming pool, a police news release said. It was at the bottom of a community swimming pool at an apartment complex, NBCDFW reported.

Someone had asked the driver if he was OK, but the driver pulled a gun, police said. When police arrived, they found the suspect half a mile away.

Police recovered a gun and narcotics nearby, the news release said.
