Special needs teacher headbutts high school student in cafeteria, Indiana police say
A special needs teacher is accused of headbutting a high school student in Indiana, police say.
Catherine L. Davis, a teacher a Southwestern High School in Hanover, got into a fight with a 14-year-old student twice in the same day in December, according to Indiana State Police.
She headbutted the teen during an “altercation” in the school cafeteria, police say.
Later in the day, she’s accused of pulling the child to the floor after food was spilled in the cafeteria, police say.
School administrators contacted Indiana State Police to investigate.
Davis, 39 and a resident of Madison, Indiana, was charged Thursday with two felony offenses each of battery and neglect of a dependent, according to the news release.
Hanover is a small town just across the Kentucky border in southeastern Indiana.
