‘Tick tock.’ Woman who sent bomb emoji to co-workers gets arrested, Utah cops say
A Utah woman was arrested after police said she sent threatening text messages to her co-workers that contained a bomb emoji, according to KUTV.
An employee at a workplace in Logan City got text messages that read: “You’ll want to evacuate your workplace ASAP (purple devil emoji); “Tick Tock” (purple devil emoji, bomb emoji, explosion emoji); and “You think it’s all games? You have 1 hour to diffuse [bomb emoji],” according to the TV station.
The employee showed the messages to managers at the company, who called the police, Cache Valley Daily reported.
The building was evacuated until it was safe to re-enter, according to Cache Valley Daily.
Officers didn’t find a bomb and traced the number to Brittany Valentine, 21, according to KUTV. Valentine told police that she sent them because she was scared she was going to be fired.
Valentine was arrested on Tuesday and booked at Cache County Jail, according to jail records.
She was charged with threat of terrorism, which is a second-degree felony, and her bail was set at $10,000, records show.
