Joe Biden keeps his lead over Donald Trump in presidential race, new polls show

Vice President Joe Biden would beat President Donald Trump in the general election, according to new polling data.

RealClearPolitics polling shows Biden edging out Trump by an average of around 6 points.

Recent polls from FiveThirtyEight also show Biden beating Trump.

Biden would also beat Trump in key battleground states including Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Florida, Michigan, and Arizona, according to RealClearPolitics polling. Trump still has around a point lead over Biden in North Carolina.

Hillary Clinton was beating Trump in national polls by as much as 12 points in 2016 before she lost to him in the general election, according to CNN.

A recent Gallup poll showed the biggest drop ever in ratings for President Donald Trump due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The poll, conducted between April 1 and April 14 with a margin of error of 4%, shows that 43% of people surveyed approve of Trump’s job as president while 54% disapprove.
