Three Texas teens arrested, accused of stealing 32 firearms from gun range, cops say

On June 17, the Plfugerville Police Department, in coordination with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, arrested a third suspect in an investigation into 32 firearms that were stolen from a Red’s Indoor Range on June 1, according to KXAN.

Police said that Joseph Adam Lopez, 18, had been charged with engaging in organized criminal activity.

Local police and ATF, along with the Lone Star Task Force, had already made two arrests in connection with the burglary: Hamza Oumanso, 17, and another unnamed juvenile were also charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, KXAN said.

According to KTBC, three people forced their way into the indoor gun range when it was closed around 3:30 a.m. June 1 and stole 32 firearms — both handguns and long guns.

ATF Houston had put out a tweet and reported that they were investigating the crime, offering a reward up to $5,000 for information on the suspects.

Surveillance video had showed “three people using sledgehammers” on the doors in order to get inside, KVUE reported.

Officials also linked Lopez’s neck tattoo to the suspect in the surveillance video, KVUE said.
