Teen hanging out of sunroof dies in collision after driver leaves, Missouri cops say

A teenager has died after hanging out the sunroof of an SUV during a collision inside a parking garage, Missouri police say.

The 17-year-old and two other passengers were hanging out of the vehicle when the driver crashed in the downtown St. Louis parking garage Saturday night, police say. Investigators say the passengers were injured either by hitting a concrete beam or falling from the moving SUV.

The 18-year-old woman driving the vehicle left the scene, leaving behind the teen, a 14-year-old girl and a 26-year-old man, police say.

All three passengers were taken to a hospital.

The 17-year-old, identified as William Jordan, died from his injuries on Wednesday.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been announced by police.
