An umpire at a youth league tournament in Katy, Texas, was arrested for possession of crystal meth, police said.

An umpire at a youth baseball game was arrested on drug charges after being accused of bringing crystal meth to the tournament, according to Texas police.

Brent Thrasher, 35, was officiating at a tournament held Saturday, Feb. 12 in Katy, roughly 30 miles west of Houston, Harris County Constable Precinct 5 said in a release.

At some point, Thrasher went out to his car and a “concerned citizen reported seeing [Thrasher] engaging in suspicious activity in his car,” the release said.

Deputies arrived at the baseball park and found 2.7 grams of crystal meth in Thrasher’s car, according to the release.

He was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and booked into the Harris County Jail.

Correction: An earlier version of this article inaccurately described the baseball association the umpire was working for at the time of his arrest. It has been updated.
