A group of ducklings hatched in the “right place” — just outside a Florida hospital’s labor and delivery unit.
Video shows the 10 babies waddling through the hospital as their mom leads the way out of the building.
“We’re still ‘quacking’ up over this sweet story,” Beaches OBGYN wrote March 23 in a Facebook post. “Congrats, Mama! We’ll see you in six weeks for your follow-up.”
The medical provider said its workers helped escort the ducks this week after the babies hatched at Baptist Medical Center Beaches. The mom had flown into a maternity ward atrium and made her nest there, WJAX reported.
In the video posted to Facebook, the family of ducks can be seen parading down a hallway as two people use poster boards to guide them toward the exit. Less than 24 hours after the clip was posted, it had garnered 10,000 views — and lots of waterfowl puns.
“This mama clearly had all her ducks in a row when she chose the very best place to bring her #BaptistBabies into the world,” the Jacksonville Beach hospital wrote on Facebook.
Other Facebook users couldn’t get enough of the cuteness — and seemed to be fans of the duck laying her eggs near the maternity unit.
“Well, clearly she knew where to go for a healthy ‘delivery,’” one person commented.
It’s not the first time ducks have wandered through a hall. Footage showed a group of the animals being led past Massachusetts classrooms on their way from a middle school courtyard to a pond, McClatchy News reported in May 2021.
