He was shot multiple times, officials said.

A man was shot to death after he bought tacos for his wife from a Texas food truck, news outlets reported.

The husband was in his car waiting for the order when at least one person repeatedly shot him in his torso, the Houston Police Department told KHOU and KPRC.

The man — who was later pronounced dead — was identified in a news release as 23-year-old Mark Aguilar.

The shooting was reported just before 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 29. It happened along Irvington Boulevard in north Houston, according to police.

Officials said Aguilar had his car door open when someone got out of a Chevrolet Tahoe and spoke to him. The person then shot the 23-year-old, according to police.

On May 31, officers shared photos of the SUV, described as silver and an older model. People with information are asked to call police at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
